COVID-19 Statement and Plan Of Action
As our city and community continues to be impacted by the global spread of COVID-19, I want to assure all clients that Home Sweet Home Care & Cleaning will continue operations unless there is a mandatory, complete lock down ordered and enforced, and is here to serve you in keeping your home as healthy, clean and disinfected as is possible. During this continually evolving situation, my main priority is the health and well-being of my clients and their families, as well as myself and my own family.
At the start of each cold and flu season, I quietly enact flu prevention methods at no extra cost to my clients. These measures will continue to be taken until this virus has been adequately contained. Below I have provided my enhanced plan of action as well as a list of products that I am currently using. The disinfection products specifically have been approved by the CDC during this outbreak.
In case of school shut downs or employers asking you to work from home, I simply ask to work alone in the space I am in until I have cleaned and sanitized the area. When done, I will move to the next area, which if occupied I kindly ask that any occupants move to a new area so that I may properly and professionally clean and sanitize. Any clients that would like to provide their own cleaning products during this time are more than welcome to, providing those products are approved by the CDC for outbreak prevention.
As always, thank you for being such wonderful and loyal clients who are truly a pleasure for me to care for by providing a healthy and clean home environment. I do ask that anyone who has traveled or has been around those who have traveled, whether internationally or nationally recently please notify me as soon as possible. If anyone is need of additional assistance during this time, please contact me and I will do what I can. We will get through this together! If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Plan of Action
-
For preventative measures, I will be partaking in the following methods during and between each clients’ service throughout the day::
-
wearing shoe covers inside each clients home (insurance requires me to wear appropriate footwear, I am more than happy, however, to wear shoe covers for all homes going forward, which will be placed on before I enter each home and removed & disposed of immediately upon leaving).
-
Wearing gloves, which like the shoe covers, will be placed on before I enter each home and removed & disposed of immediately upon leaving
-
All equipment, bottles and supplies will be thoroughly and completely sanitized with sanitizing spray and/or wipes upon leaving each home in preparation for the next. As always, each home has its own vacuum filters, mop head, etc to ensure no cross contamination takes place. This is something I’ve always done, as a chronic allergy sufferer I tend to be hyper vigilant for my own health and yours. Again, if you wish to provide your own during this time, please let me know. All equipment MUST be in good, working and safe condition. If you prefer to use your mop, it MUST be sanitized properly between services and dried – I will not use a wet mop or one that
-
-
smells like any previous floor cleaner. Swiffer mops and pads do not suffice as proper, professional mops.
-
If you wish to have a complete list of products used for other purposes (furniture polishing, windows, stainless steel, deep cleans, etc, please contact me. Below are the products I will be continuing to provide and use for general cleaning and disinfecting on appropriate surfaces for each::
-
Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner – this is a powerful all-purpose cleaner and degreaser designed for effective and environmentally safer use on counters, carpets, floors, fabrics, equipment, vehicles and more. THIS IS NOT A DISINFECTANT. It is a general, all-purpose, non-toxic cleaner that also serves as a pre-disinfectant on surfaces that require disinfection. As a professional, I know that all disinfectants are best used on pre-cleaned surfaces. This is my most used product in your homes, and is what I use prior to disinfecting needed surfaces.
-
Disinfectants – the disinfectant used may vary depending on surface and also what I have in supply at the time. I do try to use primarily less toxic products, but there are times when I do include more traditional products as well, as you will see on my list. Each of these is CDC approved, by main ingredient. I have checked each product personally by the CDC list and each product’s website. As a professional, I know what many average consumer’s don’t always realize….for maximum effectiveness, surfaces should be pre-cleaned before a disinfectant is applied, AND each disinfectant has a different time frame for actually being effective….you cannot just spray on and wipe off. You must take the time for it to actually do its job, and depending on the product it could be anywhere from 4-10 minutes or so that it must sit on surfaces to kill the bacteria or virus you are trying to kill.
-
Simple Green Clean Finish Disinfectant Cleaner
-
Simple Green d Pro5 – this is an all-in-one cleaner and sanitizer
